Evening Centres
Brent
Music Service runs three evening centres strategically located
throughout the London Borough of Brent:
BMS
Claremont Evening Centre
BMS
Wembley Evening Centre
BMS
Queens Park Evening Centre All
three centres offer instrumental music ensembles opportunities for young
people aged between 8 and 19, together with
tuition assistance in preparation for Music Theory Examinations. In
addition, the BMS Wembley Evening Centre also offers the Brent Junior
Choir for 10-13 year olds. Music
is a wonderful world in which to participate and in
addition to performances requested by other organisations, all
of our BMS Music Ensemble members, Junior Choir and associated schools
are given the opportunity to perform at our bi-annual celebration
concerts held at Wembley Arena and Brent Town Hall on alternate years.

Already Receiving
Instrumental Tuition from Brent Music Service?
Most members of the music ensembles already receive instrumental tuition
from Brent Music Service within their schools. When they have
reached an appropriate standard, their teacher will then recommend that
they consider joining one of the music ensembles above. The
student can attend an introductory session of the chosen ensemble and
will be supported all the way until they feel comfortable that they wish
to join as a full member.
Not
Receiving Instrumental Tuition from Brent Music Service?
If
you are a young musician who does not currently receive instrumental
tuition from Brent Music Service, but you attend a school in or are a
resident of the London Borough of Brent, you too are welcome to join the
many music ensembles held at the BMS Evening Centres. We want
every member to benefit from their participation in the music ensembles,
so to ensure you have reached the desired standard that will enable you
to enjoy your music-making to its fullest, a simple audition is
required. This allows us to assess the standard you have reached
and so offer you an appropriate position in one of our ensembles to
match your ability.

Ensemble - The Brent Junior Choir
If
you enjoy singing, you will love this group. If you are aged between 10 and 13 you could be singing songs from all over
the world! In addition to making lots of new friends, members of
the Brent Junior Choir have had the opportunity to perform at The Houses of Parliament, The National Gallery, and Wembley
Arena, amongst others!
No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm!
