Rebecca is home tutored and working towards an IB style qualification.  Her passion is for History and in particular the 20th Century, from which she also enjoys the music of Gershwin.

The Start of a Talent
Rebecca originally took piano lessons at the age of 12 from a student of the Royal College of Music.  She is now taught by Elizabeth Hayes from whom she takes great inspiration.

Rebecca sings with the Walbrook Singers, performing in concerts and services in the UK and Germany, and she is also teaching herself the church organ.

Rebecca enjoys arranging and composing and is already passing on her talents to others through her piano teaching.

Special Playing Memories
In addition to the excitement of singing Duke Ellington's Sacred Concert at the Cadogan Hall, Rebecca also has a strong memory of performing on the piano Bach'as Aglie Gigue from his 1st Partita, during which her ring became lose and eventually 'flew off'!

Inspiration
In addition to her teacher, Rebecca obtains her inspiration for the piano from pianist Viv McLean, the Lawson Piano Trio and the playing of Murray Perahia.

The Future
Rebecca hopes to study at music college and becoming a solo artist, combined with teaching, adjudicating and examining for the ABRSM.
