				Brent Makes Music - The Concept of Youth, Music and Fun Brent Music Service has produced a wide range of concerts with its various ensembles, vocalists and instrumentalists which continually demonstrate the way in which music can have such a positive effect on students. Brent Makes Music has been an annual flagship event for Brent Music Service and has brought all the BMS groups together in a spectacular evening of entertainment. Brent Makes Music is an event for which the residents of Brent should feel great pride - not least because of the work carried out by Brent Music Service and Brent Council, who have enabled so many children to experience the joys of music-making at such a world-renowned venue. The excitement and enjoyment that comes from performing, whether it is as individuals, part of an ensemble or choir, is unparalleled. Music enables this to happen, and with the involvement of Brent Music Service it can happen in a big way! 2007 In 2007, the show took place for the first time at Wembley Arena (an opportunity kindly provided by Brent Council as one of the Wembley Community Days) - over 1,300 children performed to create a night to remember for the rest of their lives. Find out more about the 2007 event. 2008 Following on from the success of the previous year, 2008 brought a return visit with an even larger group of performers and over 3,000 in the audience. Taking on the theme 'The World in One Borough', the audience was taken on a musical world tour, offering an eclectic mix of styles and sounds. Find out more about the 2008 event. 2010 Brent Makes Music will now be a bi-annual event, the next being scheduled for 2010. In the interim years, Brent Music Service is taking on a new initiative directed at showcasing the younger performers in their own celebration concert - Junior Fest 2009. The first exciting event under this title will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 9th July 2009 in Brent Town Hall.
